WESTCHESTER COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SENIOR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

The Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services connects caregivers to resources and services available to you in our County.  Our Office helps by evaluating what’s driving your intensity and zooming in on the resources you need now (or whenever you want). From consultations to in-home services, our consultant services are available at no cost to caregivers who:

  • Live in Westchester County.

  • Provide long-distance care to a loved one in Westchester County.

 Support For The Things You Need

  • In the home Assistance with housekeeping, personal care, meal delivery, transportation for appointments, and respite services for the caregiver.

  • Knowing what to expect Education and training on things like fall prevention, social engagement, and dementia care.

  • You’re not alone Counseling and support groups to connect with others.

  • Having a plan After meeting with you, our staff can create a plan for you and your loved one that meets your goals, and make the appropriate referrals.

  • Finding time for you Referrals to adult day health, respite care programs, and companion services, including vouchers to use with a day respite or an in-home respite service.

  • Feeling your best Counseling and referrals, support groups, and educational workshops.

After speaking with you to understand your unique situation, your consultant will work with you to determine the most relevant support for you and your loved one — all while providing peace of mind from knowing there are things that can help.

Raising Grandkids? We Can Help With That Too.

Our Grandparents Program offers a network of support groups and workshops to help seniors 60-plus who are raising grandchildren younger than 18 years.
